About the role
The CNC Operator will produce premium quality, high-precision carbide cutting tools using specific tool grinding machines and programs. Responsibilities include programming, setup, operating CNC machines, inspecting tools for visible flaws, and correcting quality issues to ensure consistent product output.
Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust offsets as required.
- Accurately read blueprints.
- Inspect tools for defects using quality control tools.
- Perform accurate programming and machine operation.
- Evaluate the quality of finished products through visual inspection and measurement tools.
- Communicate quality issues to programmers and/or General Managers.
- Check machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-2 years of CNC Operator experience preferred.
- Certification from a qualified training institution in machining is ideal but not required.
- Well-rounded knowledge of cutters, inserts, and feeds/speeds preferred but not required.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to convert metric to inch and decimal to fraction.
- Programming experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements
- Light work involving bending, light lifting up to 20 pounds, and repetitive motions.
- Prolonged periods of standing at a machine.

1st and 2nd shift available.
