CNC Operator

About the role
The CNC Machine Operator contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic setups of CNC 2- and 3-axis machines, identifying X, Y, Z, and 0 coordinates. The role involves running multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously—such as lathes, EDM wire, and plunge machines—as well as operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with some supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic machining functions to produce parts.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
- Monitor machines to ensure proper program performance.
- Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
- Make offsets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
- Advocate for health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Complete all required training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Lean manufacturing experience (preferred).
- Experience in medical device manufacturing (preferred).
- 1+ years of experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Machining trade school certification (preferred).
