CNC Operator

Responsibilities

• Prepare to load and unload raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
• Responsible for the quality of the products produced by the manufacturing cell to which they are assigned to.
• Verify conformance of machined and /or assembled parts to specifications using hand gages and/or CMM reports.
• Conduct SPC checks as indicated in corresponding Control Plan and/or other Work Instructions assigned to the job, this may include visual inspection of parts.
• Understand purge and contain for quality related issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and as necessary.

Requirements

• A mechanical inclination and basic knowledge of manufacturing.
• Intermediate math skills (understanding x, y, and z coordinates, ability to convert fractions to decimals, basic trigonometry).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience as a machine operator strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree or certification in machining or CNC programming preferred.
