Responsibilities
- Ensure parts are machined to meet production goals, including cycle time, quantity and quality.
- Operate CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto CNC machines.
- Handle materials appropriately and safely.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings.
- Perform in-process inspection of machine parts to ensure manufacturing adherence to all quality regulations.
- Measure and check dimensions and tolerances using measuring devices, including (but not limited to) calipers, micrometers and gauges.
- Perform daily maintenance on CNC machinery.
- Conduct routine inspection and replace worn-out tooling as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Perform daily 6S activities to ensure organization and cleanliness of work area.
- Perform necessary transactions in ERP system to maintain accurate inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or related experience and/or training.
- Basic understanding of CNC G-codes and M-codes.
- Basic skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
- Proficiency in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Haas Controller Experience preferred.
- Quality assurance experience preferred.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing duties of the job, employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
Work Environment
- Shop floor working environment.
- Required to wear safety glasses and shoes, and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the production floor.
