CNC Operator - 2nd Shift Job

About the role

The CNC Operator - 2nd Shift position is responsible for operating CNC machines, ensuring safety, and supporting the production team.

Responsibilities

• Edit and load programs, technical support, and operate CNC machines.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with plant and company safety rules.
• Upload programmed jobs, set up CNC machines, and maintain quality and safety standards.
• Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans.
• Inspect and validate raw material quality to meet product specifications.
• Program CNC machines by entering instructions and verifying settings.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Document actions and communicate irregularities to supervisors.
• Assist with other job tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact well with others and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of forming process for Marshfield products (desired).
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.

Skills

• Ability to use calipers and other precision measuring devices.
• Understanding of CNC programming and operation.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

Pay and Schedule

• Estimated base salary range: x to X per year.
• Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
• Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday – Thursday 3:15 p.m. to 1:45 a.m., with possible overtime on Friday/Saturday.
