Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow safety requirements within the department.
- Access and understand daily and weekly schedules.
- Find, read & follow work instructions displayed electronically (iPad).
- Read and understand blueprints relative to the parts being produced.
- Correctly use all precision measuring instruments to verify part integrity.
- Correctly load and unload parts.
- Change and set tools.
- Make simple machine adjustments to maintain part integrity.
- Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift.
- Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager.
- Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.
- Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency (HSE) credential such as general education degree (GED) is required, plus an additional one to three months related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and safety rules; such as work instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Mental Abilities: Must have the ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to carry out written, oral, and/or diagram instruction forms. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
