CNC Milling & Shaping Machinist - 2nd Shift

About the Role

The Shaping Machinist will independently and safely set up and operate CNC milling centers and manual shapers.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand process travelers, setup journals, operation sheets, and CMM inspection reports to produce complex finished product.
• Set up, make tooling adjustments, and apply program offsets as necessary.
• Accurately inspect work utilizing various instruments including gages, indicators, and micrometers.
• Perform daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) responsibilities.
• Work in both water-base and oil-base machine coolant environments.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in the work area.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations; wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
• Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings, and team activities to improve processes.
• Maintain appropriate tact and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers, team members, and supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of aerospace CNC machining experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree or certificate from a vocational school or college program is a plus; extensive experience may substitute for education.
• Must be a US Person (Green Card Holder or United States Citizen) due to government contracts.

Pay

$40,000 - $100,000 per year. Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime, and shift.
