CNC Mill Machinist (Operator / Setup / Multi-Axis) – 2nd Shift

Essential Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis equipment.
- Load programs, perform machine startups, and verify setup accuracy.
- Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T specifications.
- Inspect first-piece, in-process, and final parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Document production data, inspection results, and setup information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2+ years of CNC machining experience; setup experience preferred.
- Experience operating CNC milling machines in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and height gauges.
- Understanding of machining practices, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
- Ability to perform basic CNC program edits and offset adjustments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Mori Seiki, Makino, or similar CNC mills.
- Multi-axis machining experience (4-axis and/or 5-axis).
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming.
- Knowledge of GD&T and SPC principles.
- Technical certification or machining apprenticeship preferred.
