CNC/Material Prep Operator

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to learn the CNC function and grow with a great company—we will train the right person!

Responsibilities

• Aid in loading raw materials
• Operate CNC machinery under close supervision
• Monitor the automated production of specialized parts for fire equipment
• Unload finished parts and maintain a steady production pace
• Load castings on robot tables and ensure proper loading
• Cut, couple, and assemble heavy-duty fire hoses according to precise engineering, quality, and safety guidelines
• Rotate through various departments including material handling, shipping and receiving, and general shop support
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Complete basic daily maintenance on machines
• Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn
• Previous CNC experience a plus (we are willing to train the right candidate!)
• Skilled or willing to learn the use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• General computer proficiency
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the full shift
