About the role
Our client is a growing precision manufacturing facility seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support CNC machining, fabrication equipment, and facility operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, 5-axis machines, Wire EDMs, surface grinders, band saws, and fabrication equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Maintain and repair MIG and TIG welding equipment.
- Service facility systems including air compressors, coolant systems, dust collection systems, and overhead cranes/hoists.
- Perform general building maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical systems, and safety equipment.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
- Order maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts while managing costs.
- Assist with preventive maintenance scheduling and continuous improvement efforts.
- Work closely with machine operators, programmers, and leadership to resolve equipment issues.
- Participate in safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance.
- Train employees on proper equipment care and basic preventive maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience maintaining welding equipment and fabrication machinery.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- Ability to comply with OSHA and ITAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with preventive maintenance program development.
- Experience supporting high-precision CNC machining operations.
- Background maintaining facility support systems and industrial equipment.
