About the role

Our client is a growing precision manufacturing facility seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support CNC machining, fabrication equipment, and facility operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, 5-axis machines, Wire EDMs, surface grinders, band saws, and fabrication equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Maintain and repair MIG and TIG welding equipment.
  • Service facility systems including air compressors, coolant systems, dust collection systems, and overhead cranes/hoists.
  • Perform general building maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical systems, and safety equipment.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
  • Order maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts while managing costs.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance scheduling and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Work closely with machine operators, programmers, and leadership to resolve equipment issues.
  • Participate in safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance.
  • Train employees on proper equipment care and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, PLC troubleshooting, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience maintaining welding equipment and fabrication machinery.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with preventive maintenance program development.
  • Experience supporting high-precision CNC machining operations.
  • Background maintaining facility support systems and industrial equipment.

Pay

$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
