CNC Machnist, 2nd Class - 2nd Shift

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Machinist, 2nd shift to join our Target Rock team. The role involves setting up and operating CNC equipment, performing quality inspections, and optimizing processes.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC equipment within a given manufacturing department.
• Perform tool offsets and compensations.
• Proof CNC Code as provided by CNC Programmers.
• Work in conjunction with CNC Programmers to optimize processes.
• Ensure quality and productivity standards are maintained.
• Read blueprints and perform quality inspections.
• Calculate and adjust feeds and speeds of material cutting as required.
• Sharpen cutting and grind form tools as needed within the department.
• Document CNC Program accuracy upon completion.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• US citizenship.
• High School Graduate or equivalent, with shop mathematics and Trigonometry skills.
• Five (5) years of manufacturing or related experience.
• General good housekeeping practices within work area.
• Maintain compliance with work center maintenance.
• Able to accurately report time and maintain accurate entries on applicable manufacturing documentation.
• Comply with Company quality and safety requirements.
• Shop Math and Trigonometry skills.

Qualifications

• Must have shop math and trigonometry skills.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret CNC code.
• Ability to make minor editorial changes to programs as requested by supervision.

Pay

The salary range is $34/hour, reflecting a position based in New York. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Schedule

The position is available on a 2nd shift schedule.
