CNC Machinist (Turn/ Mill)

Responsibilities
- Performs set-ups and operates Okuma CNC milling and turning machines and related equipment under the direction of the area supervisor or lead person.
- Makes all necessary edits and adjustments to produce parts that meet work orders, blueprint specifications, and sketches.
- Operates more than one machine in a cellular environment as required.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds, cutting tools, and their applications.
- Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
- Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with company requirements.
- Accurately completes paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc., according to company policy.
- Exercises good machining practices and maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition.
- Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
- Assists new and less experienced operators as requested.
- Observes all company policies, rules, and regulations, including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years CNC machinist experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Basic mechanical ability.
- Experience with Okuma CNC machines and Fanuc controls.
- Experience operating in a cellular manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience in aerospace or tight-tolerance manufacturing environments.
Skills
- Knowledge of feeds and speeds.
- Working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
- Ability to inspect work for dimensional features.
- Good machining practices.
- Understanding of company policies and regulations.

Pay
The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This position is 100% on-site, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime available (1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm ET).
