Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate complex Mill jobs without supervision ensuring part conforms to specifications and requirements.
- Perform necessary modifications or adjustments to ensure parts are to specification.
- Run more than one machine at any given time in a fast-paced environment, meeting or exceeding production standards with a mindset for both Quality and Productivity.
- Read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints and work instructions/operations sheets.
- Accurately verify and document dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages, dial calipers, and Optical comparators.
- Hold tight tolerances associated with the machining of precision Aerospace, and Power Generation parts.
- Be able to troubleshoot and offer suggestions on how to resolve machining problems/issues and collaborate with engineering on changes needed to be made.
- Maintain 5S practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations.
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Adjusts machine as needed to ensure specified dimensions of piece.
- Stop the machine to make required adjustments as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on the machinery, such as oiling /coolants Etc.
- Enter date in the ERP system.
- Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to use a computer.
- Experience with and ERP a plus.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Familiar with measurement tools such as tape measure calipers / micrometers.
- Have 3 plus years of experience with CNC Mill- machines.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability and desire to learn and take direction.
- Must be able to adapt to changes.
- Strong desire to succeed.
- Understand, read, and write English.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day.
- Lifting up to fifty (50) pouns.
- Bending, pulling, pushing, sitting, and reaching.
