About the Role
The CNC Machinist II operates and sets up CNC machines to produce precision machined parts while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines
- Change tooling and make minor adjustments as needed
- Perform hand finishing of machined parts
- Adhere to GMP/GDP practices and maintain 5S standards
- Record activities accurately and maintain documentation
- Support continuous improvement efforts and identify manufacturing issues
- Escalate concerns or problems to appropriate personnel
- Meet productivity targets and maintain equipment
- Ensure a safe work environment and follow safety protocols
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machines
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow work instructions and perform quality checks
- Demonstrated safety awareness, attention to detail, and teamwork
- Effective communication, computer skills, and problem-solving abilities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
The role requires standing, walking, and handling materials for extended periods, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision and manual dexterity skills are essential. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
