About the role
As a CNC Machinist II, you will operate a variety of CNC machines independently, troubleshoot common issues, and contribute to process improvements. This role requires sound judgment, intermediate technical skills, and active engagement in problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Independently operate HMC, mill-turn, grinder, and balancer machines with minimal supervision.
- Consistently follow all safety, quality, and SOP requirements.
- Identify and report process inefficiencies or equipment issues.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization (6S) in assigned work areas.
- Provide feedback to engineers and team leads on recurring issues and potential improvements.
- Assist in mentoring and training Tier 1 machinists.
- Accurately interpret blueprints, perform in-process inspections, and make basic offsets or adjustments.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to operate multiple machine types efficiently.
- Understanding of basic G-code and M-code commands.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
