Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify part dimensions and quality.
  • Make necessary tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on production requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes. Identify and report any machine malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and quality problems, implementing corrective actions as required to maintain production flow and quality standards.
  • Follow strict safety protocols, ensuring the safety of yourself and your colleagues. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Accurately document production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control data.
  • Collaborate effectively with the production team, CNC programmers, and engineers to optimize machining processes and achieve production targets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Ability to produce a high-quality product according to required specifications consistently.
  • Ability to meet required output specifications.
  • Understanding of machine operation processes and movement of completed components.
  • Proficiency in using computers and measuring tools.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Experience operating hand tools, machines, and equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as a productive team member contributing to organizational success.
  • Ability to handle fast-paced work environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and complete tasks without direct instruction.
  • Dependability with good attendance.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Monday through Friday (onsite).
