About the role
We’re seeking a skilled CNC Machinist II to perform intermediate to complex machining and CNC programming in support of high-quality prototype and production parts. This role is ideal for a machinist who has mastered the fundamentals and is ready to take on more complex setups, programming, and problem-solving with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Program and machine parts using 2D and 3D toolpaths (Surfcam and/or Mastercam)
- Read and interpret prints, specifications, and 3D models
- Setup and operate CNC mills and/or lathes for intermediate to complex jobs
- Select machines, tooling, fixtures, and materials based on project requirements
- Modify existing programs to improve efficiency and quality
- Design custom fixtures and calculate speeds, feeds, and depths of cut
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring tools
- Support less-experienced machinists with technical guidance
- Collaborate with Project Managers on job scope, timing, and quoting
Requirements
- 2+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
- Proficiency in print reading, GD&T, and high-tolerance machining
- Experience with Surfcam and/or Mastercam
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
