About the role
Aerospace CNC Gear Grind Machinist at Delta Precision Components LLC.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC gear grinders and other machining equipment to produce precise gear parts.
- Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure accurate part fabrication.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure parts meet design specifications.
- Perform precision inspections using measuring tools to verify part dimensions and quality.
- Maintain high-quality standards in accordance with aerospace industry requirements.
- Solve complex manufacturing problems and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in CNC gear grinding or related field.
- Proficiency in using CNC gear grinders, lathes, mills, and other precision machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with precision inspection techniques and measurement tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly skilled in maintaining and operating precision machinery.
- Passion for precision and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system, and experience with lean manufacturing principles.
