CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift - $2 Shift Dif

VSS offers a 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday) with two shift options: 5 am–3 pm or 3 pm–1 am. Annual wage reviews and a bonus system starting at 3 % of salary are in place. Health insurance begins the first day of the month following your first full month of employment.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Second Shift Operator for our CNC machines in multiple departments. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will set up, program, and monitor complex machining processes to ensure efficient second-shift production flow.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 3 pm–1 am (second shift).

Pay

Wage based on experience, plus a \$2/hour shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines with proficiency, ensuring accurate and efficient production of complex parts.
• Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify part dimensions against GD&T standards.
• Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, fixture adjustments, and process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of hand tools, safety guards, and factory safety procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to commute to Greenfield, MA 01301 (required).
• Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or factory environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers) (preferred).
• Ability to work the second-shift schedule reliably.
