CNC Machinist 1 - 2nd shift

About the role

MSI Mold Builders is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift to perform levels one, two, and three machining work. The role involves operating CNC machines to create a variety of molds, including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, and inspection. The position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and proactive monitoring of tool inventory, quality assurance, and preventative maintenance. The machinist will also participate in tooling selection and help implement new procedures, equipment, and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce precision molds for customers
• Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, and inspection tasks
• Monitor for bottlenecks, material defects, and inefficiencies, proposing solutions
• Maintain tool inventory and conduct quality assurance inspections
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment
• Collaborate on tooling selection and implementation of new techniques and procedures

Qualifications

• 2-year CNC program certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Efficient time management and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow directions closely and accept assistance with machine setup

Pay

$22 – $26/hour, based on experience, with a 10% premium for off-shift work.

Schedule

2nd shift, Monday – Thursday, 3:30 pm – 2:00 am.
