CNC Machine Operator - Level 4 - $3k Sign On Bonus

Pay & Total Rewards

The pay range for this position is $24.50–$34.30 per hour, plus overtime and a 30% shift differential for off-shifts. The hourly rate offered will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. This position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus payable after your first 30 days of employment, subject to applicable taxes and withholdings.

About the Role

At this level, the associate is proficient in all aspects of the process and can solve most non-routine problems. You will have a strong awareness of the overall business, recognize opportunities for process improvements, and escalate them to reduce costs or improve quality and delivery. You may interact with associates in other functional areas and assist with department development.

Responsibilities

• Complete set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform start-stop procedures, including machine and conveyor start-up, loading raw material, and machine shutdown.
• Perform simple and advanced changes, adjustments, and set-up to tooling and fixtures.
• Complete records and forms, and check machined parts visually and dimensionally according to quality standards.
• Clean chips from tooling and parts, and recognize and escalate machine malfunctions and part discrepancies.
• Preset tooling, set up parts, processes, and machines as required.
• Perform preventative machine maintenance and generate or modify speeds and feeds.
• Troubleshoot and correct problems related to set-up, non-conformance, tooling, and machining processes.
• Diagnose and respond to program alarms, making adjustments as needed.
• Suggest process changes to improve machining operations and optimize schedules.
• Train others to improve their skillset and generate or modify part programs as required.
• Repair, replace, or modify equipment as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of products, processes, and equipment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly.
• Proficient in machining, communication, and troubleshooting.
• Experience operating machining equipment, including loading/unloading parts, inspection gages, comparators, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, ring gages, drill/reamers, Johnson gages, Datum gages, magnifiers, and hand tools.
• Ability to identify and correct machining problems related to tools, tool holders, collets, and chucks.
• Ability to identify and rectify minor mechanical equipment malfunctions.

Schedule

2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

Working Conditions

• Ability to meet qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
• Regular, punctual attendance is required.
• May be required to pass pre-employment and annual vision acuity tests.
• Must be able to lift kegs and boxes regularly (25–35 lbs) and occasionally (35–50 lbs).
• Considerable standing, stooping, and bending is required.
