CNC Machine Operator

1st shift, Monday through Friday at FRC 26 Southern Blvd, Nesconset, NY 11767. Reports to Machine Shop Production Manager.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints
• Understand G and M code programs and make minor changes as appropriate
• Understand wear offsets and change offsets accordingly
• Change tools in the machine and input tool height measurements
• Perform own prep set-ups
• Hold +/- 0.010 tolerance
• Change fixtures and indicate fixture zero
• Practice safe work habits
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machine
• Inspect quality of parts produced using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Pass a basic Math Test (fractions and reading a tape measure)
• Multi-task and operate multiple machines
• Follow all company work rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including cleaning and maintaining equipment and performing safety inspections

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Prior machine operation preferred
• CNC experience a plus

Pay

Hourly pay range: $22 - 26 USD
