Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair a diverse range of machining equipment, including 5-axis milling machines, mill-turns, EDMs, Laser-Swiss, CNC lathes, motion control systems, mist collectors, ovens, and stamping machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems down to the component level.
- Identify improvements to preventive maintenance instructions, asset BOMs, and machine designs.
- Detect machine abnormalities using real-time data such as servo load, temperature, vibration, and acoustics.
- Support predictive maintenance, zero-breakdown, and zero-product-defect initiatives.
- Perform basic maintenance activities including inspections, leak detection, filter changes, PMs, and tank cleanout.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems on CNC machine shop equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, performance specifications, and operating requirements.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and ladder logic systems.
- Ability to program and operate CNC equipment to verify maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools and operate a forklift.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, and Mazatrol CNC controllers.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC and servo drive hardware/software.
- Experience maintaining and repairing CNC equipment from manufacturers such as:
- Mazak
- KERN
- Tsugami
- Eurotech
- Rofin
- Fanuc EDM
- Maier
- Citizen
- 2+ years of Ballbar testing and analysis preferred.
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Welding experience is a plus.
