Core Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes and automated robotic loading/tending systems for production runs.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, job travelers, and operational routing sheets.
- Establish tool and work offsets, adjust machine settings, and perform minor G-code or parameter edits on Fanuc controls.
- Set up fixtures, jaws, cutting tools, and workholding components to support close-tolerance machining.
- Perform in-process quality inspections using precision metrology instruments including micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with plant safety procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisory and quality personnel to resolve technical issues and maintain quality standards.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC turning equipment in a production environment.
- Experience working with Fanuc CNC control interfaces and automated machine-tending systems.
- Strong working knowledge of blueprint interpretation and mechanical machining principles.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and dimensional quality verification practices.
- Solid mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing setting.
