About the role
B&B Manufacturing, now part of Solve Industrial Motion Group, is seeking a CNC Programmer to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines using FANUC controls. This role focuses on producing precision components that meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
Responsibilities
- Perform CNC machine setup, operation, and programming to meet accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness requirements for part production.
- Operate multiple machines, validate measurements, maintain equipment, and ensure housekeeping in the work area to meet daily production goals.
- Serve as the primary operator for CNC machines, processing, and executing all departmental and company procedures.
- Read machining instructions and interpret blueprints to determine efficient component production that meets engineered drawing requirements.
- Identify, obtain, or recommend tools and fixtures needed to meet current specification dimensions and tolerances for projects.
- Clamp workpieces in fixtures or presses to ensure parts consistently run to print.
- Position and secure gaging to validate dimensional requirements and make necessary adjustments using hand tools.
- Maintain set feed rates and rotation speeds of CNC Swiss Mill and workpiece.
- Verify conformance of milled parts to specifications using micrometers, involute checkers, or other measurement devices.
- Compute dimensions and apply shop mathematics to ensure consistent and repeatable part accuracy.
- Machine plastic or other nonmetallic materials to meet customer expectations.
- Experience with custom or production work, including specific materials, products, or machine types such as Haas-Robo Drill and Tsugami Swiss Mill.
Requirements
- Read, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Proficient in general CNC operations, FANUC controls, and programming machines using G and M codes.
- Experience with the expeditious setup of machines to run parts at high production speeds.
- Knowledgeable in current indexable tooling technology.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and machine operations.
- Ability to operate multiple CNC machines.
- Measure and record all required data and dimensions accurately.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Work in a team-oriented environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in the use of tools such as boring tools, gauges, and inspection fixtures.
- Strong understanding of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry to generate correct finished dimensions.
Candidates with experience with Mazak CNC Machines are highly preferred.
