Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Install and adjust cutting tools
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Make adjustments to work offsets as needed to maintain tolerances
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and resolve issues
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading blueprints
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Ability to use precision measurement tools accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
