CNC Lathe Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to improve and optimize production processes
• Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (a technical degree is preferred)
• At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathe machines
• Experience in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred
• Experience with Mazak and/or Nakamura machines is preferred
• A strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation
• An excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
