CNC Lathe Machinist - Weekend Shift (32 Hours)

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate multi-spindle bar fed mill-turn CNC lathes to produce parts safely and within specification
• Load existing programs, write or edit M & G code to produce parts
• Set up CNC lathe to run required parts and dry run part in single block mode to verify program correctness
• Produce first article inspection parts and document dimensions for ISO compliance
• Verify parts meet specifications using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measurement instruments
• Perform routine machine maintenance prior to each shift (check oils, lubricants, coolant levels)
• Run warm-up programs when required and report machine issues to maintenance for repair

Requirements

• Ability to program with M & G codes, fully set up, and operate CNC machines
• Ability to produce first article inspection parts and document dimensions for ISO
• Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other measurement instruments to verify part specifications
• Strong shop math skills and good problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and lift 50 lbs
