CNC Lathe Machinist

We are looking for a lathe set-up machinist who is eager to learn and expand their experience.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, set up and operate one or more CNC Lathes.
• Operate secondary equipment and perform other necessary functions within the department.
• Use defined processes and prescribed operation sequences to operate CNC machines, achieving close-tolerance quality specifications for moderate to moderately complex components.
• Make adjustments to tooling, machines, and/or part programs as needed.
• Perform part inspection during the machining cycle using precision inspection equipment.
• Conduct a variety of secondary operations simultaneously with CNC machining.
• Maintain the highest degree of safety at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Some machine shop experience.
• Vocational/trade high school diploma or equivalent; formal trades apprenticeship preferred.
• Personal computer knowledge desired.
• Live tooling experience.
• 3–5 years of experience.
• Ability to commute to Newburyport, MA 01950 (required).

Pay

From $22.00 per hour

Schedule

• 8-hour shift
• Morning shift

• Machining: 1 year (preferred)
• Shift Availability: Day Shift (preferred)
