We are seeking a skilled Second Shift Lead Lathe Machinist who wants more than just a job — they want a role that values precision, rewards reliability, and offers the ability to lead and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC lathe programs using Mazatrol
• Identify tooling needs
• Maintain precise inspection records
• Mentor and lead a team of lathe machinists
• Work in a clean, climate-controlled, well-equipped facility
• Help manufacture high-quality, precision parts
• Process precision parts from start to finish
• Set up, program, and run Mazak CNC lathes
• Inspect and validate own work using precision measuring equipment
• Complete short-run jobs with frequent changeovers and tool adjustments
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating CNC Lathe machines
• Proficient programming skills using Mazatrol
• Prior experience mentoring others is a plus
• Knowledge of Mastercam programming is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret part prints and technical drawings
• Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
