About the role

This second shift CNC Grinder II (Manual) position is responsible for performing various types of manual grinding on products and partners with the Production Supervisor to ensure the machine shop meets daily production and quality goals. This role is part of the Pall Aerospace Machine Shop and is located onsite in New Port Richey, FL.

U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. This is a safety-sensitive job subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing under FAA regulations.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM. Overtime is routine.

Responsibilities

• Select proper holding devices for work (e.g., chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates) to perform ID (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter), and surface grinding.
• Deburr parts during machining operations and on manual equipment based on blueprints and/or set-up sheets.
• Inspect and check work using precision measuring equipment (e.g., optical flats, micrometers, indicators).
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers, and data.
• Perform preventive maintenance on grinding equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
• Good knowledge of shop math.
• Familiarity with precision measuring equipment (e.g., optical flats, micrometers, indicators).

Physical/Environment Requirements

• Frequent bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs. from floor to bench; occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Good eye and hand dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DBS (Danaher Business System) / lean manufacturing principles.
• Knowledge of quality measures, AQL levels, and inspection methods.
• Experience with computers, CNC equipment, CNC controls, and tool offsets.
