Gage Bilt is a Michigan-based company manufacturing and selling industrial riveting installation tools and accessories globally. Responsibilities

• Operate various grinding machines for production and modification of existing parts
• Use standard measuring equipment to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications
• Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure compliance
• Follow all process documentation and work instructions
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints
• Surface grinding and casting qualifications
• Dressing grind wheels (flat and radius)
• I.D. and O.D. understanding
• Standard measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, etc.) use
• Understand micro finishes and GD & T tolerancing (concentricity, radii, squareness, roundness, and run-out, etc.)
• CNC general knowledge of grinding wheels, including selecting proper grades and grits, matching wheels to materials, and understanding wheel dressing requirements
• Knowledge of coolants, cutting oils, and materials required for machine performance and finish quality
• Familiarity with the STUDER S-120 and similar STUDER CNC grinders
• Proficiency in programming and operating FANUC control systems
• Knowledge of multi-spindle grinding
• Familiarity with G-codes specific to ID and OD grinding
• Experience with setting up and calibrating the STUDER S-120
• Knowledge of different work holding and clamping techniques for ID and OD work pieces
