CNC Grinder (2nd shift)

We are a growing manufacturing company looking for a CNC Grinder to add to our 2nd shift!

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Grinding machines to produce components as per the specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals to understand the requirements of the product.
• Edit CNC programs using G-code to meet the requirements of the product design.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure the components meet the required specifications.
• Select and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures.
• Monitor machine operations to detect any problems or deviations from the standard and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve efficiency and overall productivity.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Grinder or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge and experience with G-code and CNC program editing.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Extensive experience with CNC Grinding machines and grinding wheels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training or apprenticeship in CNC machining is preferred.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.
