CNC Creep Feed Programmer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Loading workpieces, selecting appropriate grinding wheels, programming, and setting up machine parameters based on part drawing and specifications.
• Create and modify CNC programs to execute complex griding paths for intricate geometries.
• Continuously monitor the grinding process, performing in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure adherence to tight tolerances.
• Perform Deburr operations within specified tolerances.
• Design and develop measuring/inspection process and fixturing when required or needed.
• Identify and resolve issues related to machine malfunctions, tool, wear, and process variations.
• Document all inspection findings of each part and adhere to the company’s document retention policy.
• Adhere to all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards and perform routine maintenance tasks on the CNC grinder to maintain optimal performance and prevent or avoid production downtime.

Requirements

• A High School/Equivalent Diploma and/or Specified Trade school certificate.
• A thorough understanding of CNC grinding principles and programming.
• A well-versed understanding of creep feed grinding techniques and limitations.
• The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• A well-versed with various precision measurement skills using various metrology tools.
• A strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and great attention to detail.
• Five (5) years of Multi-axis CNC griding experience.
• Experience in industrial gas turbine and/or aerospace industry is highly desirable.
• Good organizational, planning, and timekeeping skills.
• An understanding of lean and 6S safety in a manufacturing environment.
