CNC Control/Process Operator

About the role

Arcosa Shoring Products is seeking a 1st shift Control/Process Operator (CNC) in our Union City, MI plant to meet increased production demands. As a Control/Process Operator, you will set up and operate computer numerical controlled machinery that automatically heats, mills, cuts, forms, drills, broaches or reams metal or processed material parts. You will troubleshoot and correct faulty programming, make general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequences, and observe all standard safety practices while maintaining and completing all required records. You may also be involved in safety committees or initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Arcosa Shoring Products manufactures trench shoring equipment for the construction, energy, and transportation industries, building high-quality, lifesaving trench shields and shoring products designed to last.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mill to cut or form parts
• Accurately read blueprints
• Accurately read tape measure
• Proficiently operate CNC, Plasma cutting, and laser cutting machines
• Load and unload material
• Transfer material to storage

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Ability to proficiently read blueprints
• Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently
• Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
• Regular and predictable attendance

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
