About the Role

The CNC machinist operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. Responsibilities include loading parts, cycling machines, detecting malfunctions (e.g., worn or damaged cutting tools), running production lots, and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment while adhering to Quality Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all assigned machine shop operations, including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, and sanding.
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition per Shift Hand-Off procedures and follows prescribed Safety procedures (OSHA).
  • Performs quality inspections of machined products and documents results according to Quality Standards.
  • Completes and maintains Quality paperwork for parts.
  • Assists in fabrication, lay-out of parts, filtration of coolant, and Burnishing tasks in other work areas as needed.
  • Ensures production schedule completion and facilitates quality paperwork.
  • Follows all company rules, Quality standards, and Safety policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or graduation from a certified technical school.
  • Minimum one year of related experience.
  • Ability to read a measuring tape, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred: Two or more years of related experience.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 25 pounds.

Schedule

This is a full-time hourly position. Hours and days are determined by production schedules and your reporting manager.
