About the role
BAYADA's Assistive Care of the Triad office is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Responsibilities
- Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home.
- Develop close relationships with clients while helping them with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
- Provide household support tasks like light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
- Prepare and feed meals, assist with range of motion exercises, and help with mobility (transfers and use of mechanical lifting devices).
- Remind clients about medication schedules.
Requirements
- At least one year of work experience.
- Successfully completed a recognized CNA training course and be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Qualifications
- A passion for caregiving, providing private home care, and a desire to help others.
- A commitment to being present and providing quality care.
- Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
- Ability to travel to clients' homes as assigned.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move clients as needed.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
