CNA Restorative - PRN
Aegis Therapies, one of the nation’s leading providers of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our supportive team in Copperas Cove, TX.
About the role
As a Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. Full restorative training is provided onsite—no restorative experience is necessary (CNA Certification Required).
This role focuses on restorative responsibilities with limited or none of the traditional CNA tasks that are often less desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed
- Ambulation and transfer training
- Bed mobility exercises
- Active/passive range of motion
- Dressing and grooming assistance
- Splint and prosthesis care
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of practice
- Specialty certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area (preferred)
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations (preferred)
