About the Role

Aegis Therapies, one of the nation’s leading providers of rehabilitation and wellness services, is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. This full-time position (up to 40 hours per week with weekend coverage) is based in Aberdeen, SD, working exclusively with the therapy team in a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or senior care wellness setting.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will report to the Director of Rehabilitation/Therapy and provide expertise in delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. Full restorative training is provided onsite—no prior restorative experience is necessary, but CNA certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Perform exclusive restorative duties, including:
  • Ambulation and transfer training
  • Bed mobility
  • Active/passive range of motion
  • Dressing and grooming assistance
  • Splint/prosthesis care
• Deliver EnerG by Aegis wellness programs, focusing on the seven dimensions of wellness to enhance health and happiness through individualized, results-driven activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
• Specialty certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area (preferred).
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations (preferred).
