About the role

Westminster Oaks is seeking full-time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by a supervisor. This role focuses on preserving residents’ dignity, honoring their rights, delivering excellent customer service, and adhering to federal and state compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, and toileting.
• Maintain a high level of hygiene in residents’ rooms by making beds, removing trash, and ensuring cleanliness.
• Serve meals on time and assist residents with feeding as necessary.
• Take and record vital signs, and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nurse.
• Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
• Document care promptly, accurately, and thoroughly in the CNA ECS flow-sheet.
• Conduct routine and frequent rounds to ensure safety precautions and equipment are in place and functional.
• Prevent skin problems or breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents needing assistance.

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with Florida state laws.
• One year of long-term care experience or experience working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.
• Must be CPR certified.
