CNA - Per Diem

About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for assisting residents with their daily activities. This may include bathing and dressing, taking vital signs, collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, and providers. The CNA answers resident calls, observes residents for skin integrity changes, turns and repositions residents, and transfers them to bed, chair, or wheelchair. Additionally, the CNA maintains cleanliness in the resident care area by changing sheets and restocking supplies as needed.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a current California License as a Certified Nursing Assistant and possess a current CPR certification.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English are required. Demonstrated knowledge of service excellence, including the ability to identify, anticipate, and meet the needs and expectations of residents, families, and long-term care staff, is also essential.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English to understand, plan, and carry out resident care plans and ADLs. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, honestly, and respectfully both verbally and in writing, and to encourage others to do the same. Pay

Compensation range: $26.91 - $38.37 per diem, non-benefited. Flexible shift options are available.

Child Care Center

PDH provides a child care center service to all families in the area. The program operates from 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday through Friday, and is approved for children aged 0 to 5 years. Plumas District Hospital is located in Quincy, California, which is the largest community in Plumas County and has a population of 5,000 residents. Quincy is nestled against the Western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and is situated at the edge of the lush American Valley. Chico, California is 80 miles west, and Reno, Nevada is 80 miles east of Quincy.
