CNA / Patient Care Technician
About the role
The UW Medical Center-Montlake - Resource Team / Float Pool offers opportunities for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) / Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse
- Aid patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating
- Maintain a safe environment of care
- Transport patients
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Perform non-invasive lab procedures
- Transport equipment and supplies
- Assist with treatments
- Perform various clerical tasks
- Take vital signs
Requirements
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
- High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date

Compensation, Benefits And Position Details
- Pay Range Minimum: $28.83 hourly
- Pay Range Maximum: $41.27 hourly
- Night Shift Premium: $2.25/hour
- Evening Shift Premium: $1.50/hour
- Weekend Shift Premium: $1.50/hour
- Overtime Pay
