CNA / Patient Care Technician

About the role

UW Medicine UW Medical Center-Montlake - 5E Surgical ICU has outstanding opportunities for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) positions.

Schedule

• 90% FTE - 36 hours per week
• Night shift
• Set schedule: Tues, Wed, Thurs

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, getting in and out of bed or a chair, walking, using the toilet, and eating
• Maintain a safe environment of care
• Patient transportation
• Prepare patients for surgery
• Perform non-invasive lab procedures
• Transport equipment and supplies
• Assist with treatments
• Perform various clerical tasks
• Take vital signs

Requirements

• Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State (please indicate your NA-C credential number on your resume)
• High School graduation and six months experience involving direct patient care or customer service in a health care setting; OR equivalent education/experience
• Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card by start date

Pay

• Pay Range Minimum: $28.83 hourly
• Pay Range Maximum: $41.27 hourly
• Night Shift Premium - $2.25/hour
• Evening Shift Premium - $1.50/hour
• Weekend Shift Premium - $1.50/hour
• Overtime Pay
