CNA (Part-Time)

Pay: $23-25/hr., plus shift differential when applicable

Essex Meadows is seeking hospitality-focused CNAs to join our dedicated team within our Skilled Nursing Facility. Schedule

• Every other weekend, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Days)
• Per diem shifts are also available

Responsibilities

• Cares for the overall resident personal hygiene and ADL (activities of daily living) functioning.
• Provides compassionate care while encouraging residents to their maximum level of independence under the direction of nursing supervisors.
• Encourages participation in functions of the facility and assists with transport, transfer, escort, supervision, or lending assistance as necessary.
• Maintains resident environment in a clean, orderly condition and reports any needed repair or cleaning.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Charts care performed using electronic medical records.
• Reports all assessments or observations of changes in resident condition in an accurate, timely manner and documents appropriately.
• Maintains residents’ safety and residents’ rights while performing duties in accordance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and as instructed by supervisors and the Director of Nursing Services.
• Attends in-service training, educational seminars, and staff meetings as needed to stay current with nursing changes and new policies.

Requirements

• Current CT Certified Nurse Aide certification.
• Minimum of six months to one year of experience as a CNA.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with patients.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.
• Ability to work well in teams.
• Ability to speak and understand English.

All new hires must pass a preemployment screening process, including a fitness-for-duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, and employment reference verification as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some roles may require disclosure of vaccination status.
