CNA - Part-time

About the role

The CNA provides personal care and other services outlined in the Plan of Care to patients/clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming as outlined on the plan of care.
• Helps family members care for the patient by demonstrating appropriate ways to lift, turn, and re-position the patient.
• Aid families in maintaining their normal and usual activities of life.
• Encourage activities of daily living while promoting independence.
• Observe for incidental needs of the patient/client.
• Exercise initiative and judgment in performing duties.
• Maintain charting and records as required by the agency and federal and state regulations.
• See referred patients as directed by the Case Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or completion of GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nurses Aide in good standing - required for Help at Home program.
• Basic level knowledge of EMR (electronic medical records) and email functions.
