CNA/P.C.T, Med/Tele Unit - Full Time Days

About the role

This full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Patient Care Technician (PCT) opportunity offers a convenient day shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic CNA/PCT to provide safe, competent nursing assistant care for our patients and professional support to the healthcare team. Patient Centered Care concepts will guide all nursing care, and Service Excellence standards must be demonstrated at all times.

Responsibilities

• Complete bedside shift report in the patient’s room at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Ensure the patient is provided with the names and contact numbers for members of the care team on the communication board every shift.
• Meet with the supervising RN at the start of each shift to receive delegation of tasks.
• Involve the patient and family in care, addressing psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs.
• Follow facility policies and procedures to promote patient safety (e.g., safe environment, equipment safety, radiation safety, fire prevention).
• Adhere to fall precautions by assisting patients with toileting and activities of daily living (ADLs), never leaving the patient unattended. If assistance is needed, call for help while remaining with the patient.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited CNA program preferred.
• Current Nevada CNA license preferred.
• Current BLS certificate required.
• One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred.
