CNA/Nursing Unit Secretary
About the role
Mercy Hospital is seeking a CNA/Nursing Unit Secretary to join our Orthopedic Surgery department. As an integral member of the healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist the healthcare team in coordinating, prioritizing, and communicating patient, physician, and staff needs.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Basic computer skills.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program.
- Current state CNA license for applicable state of employment.
- Six months previous CNA experience, preferred.
- Previous nursing unit secretary or medical office experience, preferred.
Physical Requirements
Medium Work - Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.
