Responsibilities
- Help clients with personal care and hygiene
- Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks
- Plan and prepare meals with clients
- Handle light housekeeping duties
- Report health changes or unusual incidents
- Provide pleasant, supportive companionship
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies
- Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips
- Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately
- Assist with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed)
- Excellent time‑management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
- Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and supporting a client
- Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
- Willingness to comply with state and office‑specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day
