CNA/Medtech

Heather Glen, Ardenwoods Community located in Arden, NC is seeking experienced part-time CNA/Medication Technicians to join a team dedicated to providing first-rate continuum of care and services tailored to residents' needs.

Schedule

• Part-time Medtech/CNA – 3rd shift, 11pm–7am

Objective

Provides a variety of personal care services to meet the care needs of residents. Assists each resident in maintaining personal dignity and control of their life, consistent with facility policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be CNA Certified or willing to obtain CNA license within a designated period
• Must be Med Tech Certified
• Work history in caring for older adults preferred
• At least 18 years of age
• Completed high school or GED equivalent
• Able to use the English language for communication and record-keeping, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance adhering to the facility’s dress code
• Must satisfy all established licensing and certification requirements
• Able to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must comply with the facility’s drug testing and substance abuse program and policies

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists residents with personal care needs, including:
  • Bathing, dressing, and undressing
  • Eating and ambulation
  • Oral care, hair and nail care
  • Elimination needs
  • Shaving and application of make-up
• Takes and records vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as instructed
• Observes and reports immediately any physical and/or behavioral changes in residents to the Assisted Living Coordinator
• Administers medications and treatments to residents according to doctor’s orders, at specified times, and charts immediately after administration
