CNA - Medical Surgical - Per Diem - Kodiak
About the role
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide support to nursing and physician staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients/residents with illnesses or injuries, taking into account the individual patient's physical or age-related needs. They also transport patients and perform some clerical duties, ensuring continuity of care while maintaining patient and resident privacy and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities
- Perform basic medical procedures under supervision
- Transport patients safely between areas of the facility
- Document patient care activities accurately
- Ensure patient privacy and dignity
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements
- Must complete twelve (12) hours of in-service training annually to maintain certification
- Hold Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire
- Pass National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- One year patient care experience in a healthcare setting

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $19.81 - $29.69 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
